And the winners are! Shira Kusnetz, daughter of Bob Kusnetz a Business Systems Analyst. Shira plans to attend Yeshiva University, Stern College for Women and study Occupational Therapy. She will spend her freshman year at Sha’alvim Seminary in Jerusalem.
Zachary Holmgren, son of Doug Holmgren, SVP of Engineering & Delivery at YA. Zachary plans to attend the University of Minnesota, Duluth and study Engineering.
Each will receive $2,500 towards full-time study at their respective universities.
Their applications were selected by a panel at the St. Croix Foundation based on answers to the following:
• YA values essay
• Educational and career goals essay
• Information on participation in school/community activities, awards, and honors
• A letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, coach, or manager
• High school academic data
They spent some time at our HQ in Minneapolis to get a glimpse of the YA action and had a celebratory lunch with Chris Behrens, YA President, and CEO.
